Dear Teachers and Students,

Dear Teachers and Students,

Greetings, everyone!

As the new spring begins, everything is renewed. Today, we gather once again at Hongrun Boyuan to embark on a new semester. Standing at this promising starting point, I want to share my expectations for the coming months through three key concepts—innovation, expansion, and sustainable growth—illustrated with familiar stories and characters.

I. Innovation: Be a Trailblazer Like Nezha, Breaking Barriers with Courage

Do you remember Nezha, the fearless figure with his fiery wheels and spear? He defied fate and broke through constraints, declaring, “My destiny is mine to control, not the heavens.”

We live in an era of rapid technological advancements and evolving ideas, where innovation is the key to progress. Take the Chinese game Black Myth: Wukong—through groundbreaking technology, it breathes new life into traditional mythology, presenting Eastern legends in a globally resonant way. This reminds us that innovation is not about rejecting the past but about revitalizing classics.

At our school, innovation can be found everywhere—it might be a bold question in class, a groundbreaking idea in a club activity, or an unconventional approach to solving a difficult problem. I encourage each of you to be like Nezha: question boldly, challenge conventions, and illuminate the extraordinary within the ordinary with your innovative spirit.

II. Expansion: Like Wukong, Explore Deeply and Reach New Horizons

Like DeepSeek, explore the frontiers of cognition.

In Black Myth: Wukong, Sun Wukong endures 81 trials yet remains steadfast in his quest for truth. In the real world, the AI team DeepSeek constantly pushes the boundaries of technology, pioneering new cognitive frontiers. Both exemplify the essence of expansion—not just accumulating knowledge, but broadening perspectives and deepening intellectual pursuits. As Liang Wenfeng once said, “Expanding the boundaries of cognition is the ladder to civilization’s progress.”

Dear students, the ocean of knowledge has no end. This semester, I encourage you to adopt the spirit of DeepSeek, actively seeking to expand your horizons. Every time you step out of your comfort zone, you redefine your intellectual limits. In academics, embrace interdisciplinary thinking to connect different fields. In personal growth, cultivate curiosity like Wukong—explore new experiences through experiments, projects, and international exchanges. Our school’s curriculum, competitions, and study programs are your “Golden Cudgel”, empowering you to unlock a bigger world.

III. Sustainable Growth: Follow the “Black Myth” Spirit and Embrace Long-Term Commitment

The creation of Black Myth: Wukong was a six-year labor of love, a testament to the persistence of Game Science, the development team. Founder Feng Ji and his team started from scratch, meticulously crafting every frame and every storyline with an almost obsessive dedication. Despite market pressures and industry volatility, they remained unwavering in their belief: “Only through continuous refinement can Chinese stories truly reach the world.”

Dear students, learning and life are not sprints, but marathons. Sustainable growth requires us to be like Wukong—focused amid distractions, resilient in the face of setbacks. Whether it’s academic research, sports training, or personal interests, always remember: Success is not about grand leaps, but about small, consistent steps forward. The rewards of perseverance will come to those who remain diligent, day by day.

Innovation is the sword that cuts through stagnation. Expansion is the wings that carry us toward the future. Sustainable growth is the foundation that leads us to our dreams.

In this new semester, I hope you will face challenges with Nezha’s courage, explore the unknown with DeepSeek’s wisdom, and write your own legend with the resilience of Black Myth.

To conclude, I leave you with a line from Black Myth: Wukong:

“Even if I must endure endless trials, my pursuit of knowledge will never die.”

This is the best embodiment of youth.

Let us move forward together and create our own boundless universe at Hongrun Boyuan!
