The creativity of SHBS students shines like the stars in the vast sky, particularly in the diverse club activities. To this end, the school has meticulously planned a series of club promotion events, allowing leaders from various clubs to take center stage and convey their dreams and visions to the entire school and beyond. This year, a total of 33 clubs have emerged, bringing more vitality and color to campus life like a refreshing spring breeze.
Sports and Fitness clubs, such as the football club, cycling club, and table tennis club, forge youth with sweat. The running on the green field, the flying speed under the bicycle wheels, and the confrontation in front of the table tennis table all highlight the students' love and persistence for sports. The newly added martial arts club has sparked everyone's interest. Here, like-minded partners fight side by side, every time sweating is a transcendence of self, and every cheer ignites the passion in the heart.
Art and Performance clubs, such as the aesthetics club, photography club, and drama club, are gathering places for creativity and inspiration. The aesthetics club leads everyone to explore the beauty of both inner and outer cultivation. The photography club captures every touching moment in life with the lens, and the drama club skillfully integrates Chinese traditional culture, striving to reproduce the classic on the stage, allowing ancient stories to be reborn. Joining these clubs means stepping into an artistic palace full of imagination and expression. Every exchange is a collision of souls, and every creation deepens the understanding of art.
Music Creation clubs, such as the orchestra club, Flow Fusion, and rap club, have built a broad stage for campus music enthusiasts. The orchestra club gathers musicians from all walks of life to jointly interpret the beauty of melody; Flow Fusion is deeply rooted in Hip-Hop culture, showing the unique charm of street art; the rap club uses rhythm as a pen and lyrics as ink to write their own youth chapter. Here, notes have become the most gorgeous colors, adding a strong touch to campus life.
Language and Culture clubs, such as the round table, debate club, and dubbing club, are excellent platforms for thought collision and cultural exchange. On the round table, students take off the burden of learning, speak freely, and share opinions; inside the debate club, there is a fierce battle of wisdom, and every debate is a tempering of thinking ability; the dubbing club makes the voice a bridge, connecting the wonderful world of different cultures. Participating in these clubs can not only improve language skills but also broaden the international perspective and enhance cultural exchange.
Public welfare clubs, such as Nice 2 C U, Spectrum Club, and the award-winning HalloWorld, pass warmth and hope in the name of love. Nice 2 C U works with Qingpu District Special Education School to help students receive special education to maximize their potential; Hallo World turns its attention to the distance, sending the warmth of knowledge to children in the mountains. Joining these clubs means choosing a path to influence the world with love and action, making every effort a force to change others.
In addition, this year has also seen the emergence of a number of highly academic clubs - Value Investment Club, World Shaper, and Mad Math. They explore the way of investment, the road of innovation, and the beauty of mathematics with a rigorous academic attitude, providing students with valuable opportunities for in-depth learning and practice. Joining these clubs can not only cultivate the ability to think rationally but also broaden the boundaries of knowledge and lay a solid foundation for future learning and career.
After the presentation, it's time for the club to set up a booth for recruitment. In front of the science building, there are many people, and the front of each club's booth is very lively. The club leaders enthusiastically introduce the characteristics and activities of the club to the students, answering every curious question. With the successful conclusion of this semester's club selection activities, we wish the SHBS club activities will be better and better. We also look forward to every student finding a sense of belonging and achievement in their favorite clubs, experiencing the charm of different cultures, participating in colorful activities, and growing together with like-minded friends.
