Pilot

— 王同学Kimi(G10)

Mr. Liu, an A350 captain and A320 A-class flight instructor at the Shanghai Flight Department of China Eastern Airlines, delivered an exciting lecture to the students. With over 13,000 hours of flight experience, he has flown multiple aircraft models, including DA-40, DA-42, King Air, A320 series, and B767, and is currently piloting the technologically advanced A350-900XWB. During the lecture, Captain Liu first introduced the core responsibilities of a pilot, emphasizing that in addition to flying skills, pilots need to maintain a high level of monitoring and control capability during autopilot operations, promptly respond to instructions from air traffic control centers, and ensure flight safety.

He also mentioned that the standards for becoming a pilot are very strict, requiring excellent vision, physical fitness, and psychological qualities, and only a few people can pass the medical examination tests. Through interaction with the students present, Captain Liu answered various questions about flying and the aviation industry, igniting their interest and enthusiasm for the pilot profession. The lecture not only provided us with an understanding of the multifaceted nature of the pilot profession but also emphasized the importance of lifelong learning. Pilots need to continuously learn and update their knowledge and skills to adapt to the development of aviation technology. Captain Liu's experience and insights have inspired me, making me realize the importance of self-improvement, continuous learning, and facing challenges. Whether in the aviation field or any other industry, sustained effort and learning can lead to personal growth and professional success.

— 周同学Jackson(G10)

In today's lecture on digital transformation, our school had the honor of inviting Ms. Wang, the Director of the Industrial Internet Research Center at Tsinghua Yangtze River Delta Research Institute. She led us to gain an in-depth understanding of the concept of digital transformation and its applications in different industries. Through vivid examples, Ms. Wang first showcased the practical effects of digital transformation in the steel industry, such as improving market efficiency by showcasing product information, prices, locations, and warehousing status through online platforms. She then quoted the viewpoint of Pony Ma, CEO of Tencent, pointing out that ordinary digitization has already reached saturation, and future digital transformation will no longer be limited to consumer industries but will expand to more fields. Using projects she has been involved in as examples, she illustrated how digital transformation can help traditional Chinese herbal medicine in Xizang achieve broader market sales. This lecture not only provided me with a comprehensive understanding of digital transformation but also allowed me to see its significant contributions to trade convenience and market expansion.

Attending Ms. Li's online lecture on marketing was an enlightening learning experience. As the store manager of Lululemon Shanghai flagship store, she used her extensive experience to show us the true charm of marketing. Ms. Li proposed that marketing is far more than just selling products or services; it is a comprehensive strategic thinking process that considers factors such as product features, target markets, and consumer psychology. She mentioned that innovation and differentiation are key to success in marketing. Not only can they help companies stand out in competition, but they can also more effectively attract consumer attention. Through personal experiences, she shared insights and lessons from the field of marketing, and her stories profoundly demonstrated that while marketing is full of challenges, it is also full of opportunities. This lecture made me realize that marketing is both a science and an art. It requires us to combine theory with practice and through continuous innovation and experimentation, we can carve out a place in the fierce market competition.

Special Education

— 陈同学Joanna(G10)

Ms. Zhang is an extraordinary teacher with 29 years of experience in education, including three years in special education. She is the Party Branch Secretary of Shanghai Blind Children's School and a Shanghai Special-Grade Teacher. She shared her professional journey, the difficulties and changes she encountered in transitioning from general education to special education, and her educational philosophy of "treating everyone equally, warming with love, respecting differences, and firmly believing in development" deeply touched me. She also shared the current situation of special education in China, the classification of special education, and the differences in teaching different types of special needs children. Each student requires a lot of sincere care and love to help them progress from "living" to "living well" and ultimately "living with value". Unlike general education, special education also involves teaching language (sign language), regularly observing students' psychological conditions, and helping them integrate into society, requiring teachers to have certain abilities and perseverance. Ms. Zhang provided many suggestions for career planning in special education, which further deepened my understanding of this profession.

Mr. Yang also discussed the application of AI technology in the current film and television industry, emphasizing the practicality of AI as a creative tool. However, he also cautioned against the misuse of AI to replicate others' creations, as this lacks artistic value and leads to homogeneity in works. Finally, Mr. Yang reminded us to stay true to our original aspirations, adhere to ethical boundaries, and find our genuine interests in the ever-changing times. His words have ignited my passion for in-depth exploration in the film and television industry.
