职业探索月
雨水至,万物生,春色渐浓。在万物复苏的季节里,宏润博源学子们也迎来一年一度的职业探索活动。由于上海疫情突发,本次探索活动转为线上举行。职业探索活动是宏润博源学校自主研发设计的学生咨询与辅导课程,旨在帮助同学们更好地进行自我探索,了解自己的兴趣爱好,性格特征,擅长的学科和技能,启发同学们对未来大学专业和职业的思考,引导同学们树立职业生涯发展意识,从而激发他们的学习动力,合理规划高中生活。
This early reviving spring saw the annual Career Exploration activity for SHBS students. Due to the recent surge of Covid-19 cases in Shanghai, this year’s activity had to be online. The Career Exploration activity, which is an advising and tutorial program independently developed and designed by SHBS, aims to help students better explore themselves, know about their own interests and hobbies, personality traits, and strengths, enlighten them about how to make good choices of their future majors and career paths, and help them raise their awareness of career development so that they can get well motivated and make proper plans for their high school years.
在升学部门带领下,同学们开启了为期一个月的职业生涯探索及规划活动。这次活动分为三个阶段,分别为自我探索,职业探索和职业跟进。
Led by the college advising department, students embarked on a month-long career exploration and planning journey. It included three phases: self-exploration, career exploration, and career follow-up.
在自我探索阶段,升学部门结合各年级学生的学业重心,性格特征,自我认知水平设计了一系列丰富的活动,并指导班主任老师们在3月14日下午CAS时间以及当周每天晨会上与班级同学们进一步深入沟通,启迪他们对未来的构思。
During self-exploration, the college advising department designed a series of activities based on the academic focus, personality traits and cognition levels of students of all grades, and advised homeroom teachers to further communicate with their students during the CAS time on the afternoon of March 14 and at the P&B sessions every morning that week, in order to inspire students to think about their future.

预备年级和十年级的同学们仍在不断自我探索,找寻自己的方向,因此职业探索活动的意义更多是能让同学们认识自我,了解自己的性格和学习特点,并启发他们主动去探索不同行业的职场人特征。升学部的老师们为这两个年级的同学们挑选了MBTI性格测试。很多同学对MBTI测试并不陌生,甚至有些同学还做过不止一遍。在班主任老师的循循引导下,同学们认真投入地完成了测试,并且在老师的指导下分为小组,跟组内成员讨论了测试的结果,进行了自评和他评的互动环节。其中有一位同学分享了他曾做过三次MBTI测试,但每次结果都不同的经历,引发了班级的激烈讨论。老师引导同学们思考为何会出现此类情况。这说明人是复杂多变且具有可塑性,性格测试只是对当前阶段和状态的大致评估,并不是对一个人的性格下定论。老师也建议同学们可保留每一阶段的性格测试,看看一段时间后是否会发生变化,然后探究结果变化的原因,找寻自己。在活动的最后,同学们也根据自己的兴趣爱好,结合性格测试的建议选出自己心仪的三个职业探索讲座,大家期待着在下周的嘉宾分享讲座中多了解自己的兴趣领域和未知领域。
Pre & 10th graders are still trying to find their own development pattern by exploring themselves. Therefore, the focus is to help them understand themselves, including their own personality traits and academic strengths, and to inspire them to take the initiative to explore the characteristics of professionals in different fields. The college advising department chose the MBTI personality test for this group of students to complete. Many of them were familiar with the MBTI test, and some of them might have even done it more than once. Guided by their homeroom teachers, the students completed the test seriously. Then divided into several groups by their teachers, they shared and discussed the test results with the group members. One student said that he had taken the MBTI test three times and got different results each time, which triggered a heated discussion. Having been asked to figure out why this happened, they found that people are complicated, growing and adaptable. The personality test provides only a general assessment of someone’s current status, rather than a final conclusion on a person's personality. The teacher also suggested that students keep a record of the test results to see if they will change with time, and then find out the reasons for the changes so that they could better understand themselves. At the end of the activity, students also chose 3 favorite lectures on career exploration according to their own interests and personality test results. They looked forward to learning more from guest speakers in the following week about the areas they are interested in.

十一年级同学们正在紧张备战大学申请,他们大部分人对自我的认知已经相当深刻,也会非常主动地了解当今各个行业的发展现状。在自我探索环节,十一年级的同学参与了Cialfo平台上的性格测试,并在班主任老师们的指导下分析了测试结果。有不少同学惊讶表示,测试的结果居然出乎意料地精准,让人不得不感叹在这个科技迅速发展,人工智能越来越发达的时代,通过数据分析能判断出一个人的性格已不是什么难事。也让同学们对现阶段的自己有了进一步的了解,学会合理规划剩余宝贵且短暂的高中生涯。紧接着,班主任指导同学们结合测试结果,一起探索和评估自己的软实力技能,引导同学们思考如何提升自己的软技能,并鼓励学生们选择自己感兴趣的职业并深入了解其工作内容,工作性质,发展前景,以及所需要的硬实力和软技能。
The 11th graders have been busy preparing for their college application. Most of them have a very deep understanding of themselves and are proactive in learning about various industries. Led by their homeroom teachers, they took the personality test on Cialfo platform and analyzed their results during self-exploration. Many students were surprised to find that the results were surprisingly accurate. Thus, they were amazed that with the rapid development of artificial intelligence and advanced technology, it is not difficult to judge one's personality through data analysis. They also got a chance to have a further understanding of themselves and learn how to make wiser plans for the remaining high school days. Next, HR teachers instructed students on how to discover and assess their own soft skills by taking their test results into consideration, and encouraged them to get a further understanding of the careers they were interested in, including their nature, their prospects and both hard and soft skills they required.

与其它年级的同学们相比,十二年级的同学们已收获大学录取通知书,成熟稳重的他们开始憧憬未来大学的专业及职业。本次的职业探索活动于他们而言,意义重大。一方面职业探索可以帮他们提前思考该如何科学选择大学专业;另一方面学校邀请到的重磅嘉宾也帮助他们搭建了宝贵的资源网络,让他们能带着更清晰的目标与自己感兴趣的行业和专家面对面交流,并了解该行业的招聘要求,树立目标,从而让自己慢慢成为合格的人才。在CAS自我探索环节,班主任老师带领同学们思考并讨论对未来工作的期待,并指导同学们完成DISC性格测试。通过测试,准毕业生对此阶段的自我有了更深刻的认知,并分组跟同学们讨论是否能根据测试结果选择今后就读的大学专业。在CAS活动结束前,每位同学根据自己的爱好选择了下周三场职业嘉宾分享会,并纷纷构思自己想要请教嘉宾们的问题。
Compared with students of lower grades, 12th graders have received university admission letters, and they are more mature and are thinking about their university majors and careers ahead. This career exploration activity was of great significance to them. On one hand, it could help them make earlier choices of their majors in the college. On the other, a lot of influential guest speakers invited by the school would help provide them wiht a valuable resource network, enabling them to talk face-to-face with experts from the areas and industries they were interested in with clear goals in mind, learn about their recruiting requirements, set further goals, so that they could make themselves qualified. Led by HR teachers, students thought about and discussed what they expected of their future careers, and completed the DISC personality test during self-exploration. After taking the test, those seniors got a deeper understanding of themselves at present and had a group discussion on how they could choose their future college majors based on their test results. At the end of CAS activity, each student chose to sit in 3 guest speakers’ lectures to be given in the next week according to his own hobbies, and figured out questions he would like to ask the guest speakers.

本届职业探索活动的安排在结构,内容,规模,及实用性方面在以往的基础上进行了优化。升学部老师们为不同年级的同学们准备不同的CAS及晨会活动,结合了各年级同学阶段性的升学目标,对各年级同学进行有针对性的指导。除此之外,为了帮助同学们树立初步的职业规划意识,升学部不仅增加了行业/工种的范畴,更是在家长们的共同协力之下,成功地邀请到十六位不同行业精英人士。相信在这次家校合力的“职业探索”活动中,同学们会增强对自我的认识和探索,增强职业规划意识,更加明确未来的方向,也更具备自我驱动力。
We have improved this year's career exploration activities in terms of structure, content, scale and practicality. The teachers from the College Advising Department had designed different activities to be done during CAS and P&B sessions for different students of different grades, and provided targeted guidance for them based on their respective periodic goals. In addition, in order to help raise their awareness of career planning, the department not only included more careers and jobs but also, thanks to the support of parents, successfully invited 16 elites from different areas. We believe that, through this activity, which has been made possible by both the school and parents, students will have a better understanding of themselves, raise their awareness of career planning, become more aware of how they should develop themselves, and be more motivated.
