The concept of micro-habits is increasingly gaining importance in the field of personal development. Its essence lies in cultivating a series of small and easily manageable habits to gradually achieve larger personal goals.

SHBS Parent Association held a forum on November 4 focusing on this theme. During this forum, Ms.Wang first introduced the BJ Fogg Behavior Model. The BJ Fogg Behavior Model is a powerful tool based on three elements: Motivation, Ability, and Triggers, helping individuals understand the driving force behind behaviors and design habits that are easy to execute. Ms. Wang's explanation provided students with a theoretical framework, deepening their understanding of micro-habits.

Following this, guests including Ms.Yuan, Ms.Ma, ASB President Martina and President Kai shared how they apply micro-habits to improve quality of life in their families, schools, and workplaces. They discussed how micro-habits can play a role in daily life, even within campus dormitories. Micro-habits can enhance work efficiency, improve relationships, and strengthen healthy habits. These discussions not only provided theoretical support but also shared practical examples, allowing students to deeply experience the power of micro-habits.

Practicing micro-habits is not complicated; it requires attention to Behavior (B), Motivation (M), Ability (A), and Prompt (P) - these four elements. By analyzing these four elements, we can design easily executable micro-habits. For instance, to develop a daily reading habit, one can start by reading one page a day. Such behavior is specific, easy, motivating, and can be triggered by setting reminders. The power of micro-habits lies in their sustainability. Even small habits can have a significant long-term impact.

Through micro-habits, achieving goals becomes more natural and gradual, rather than immediate. This approach reduces the pressure and sense of failure during the change process, making personal development more pleasant and feasible. At the event in the school auditorium, students witnessed how micro-habits illuminate the path forward and generate positive impacts in daily life. Through this Parents' Lecture Hall, we hope to inspire more individuals to embark on their own journey of micro-habits, turning these small changes into significant differences in their lives.
