As the chirping of the summer cicadas gradually dissipated , the seven days in the SHBS orientation camp flowed from the fingertips like loose sand in the hands . In the autumn wind touching my face , the camp is coming to an end . We have invited all teachers and parents to the auditorium to attend the closing ceremony of the 2024 SHBS International Curriculum orientation camp. 


At the entrance of the auditorium, a variety of art pieces submitted by students from the orientation camp are on display, including exquisite paintings and handicrafts, all showcasing their artistic talents.


At the closing ceremony, the students of the photography and editing team presented a well - made video of the camp.Seven days of the camp life were presented in front of the audience through the camera . The talent show and art exhibition became the stage for the students to show their bright points, and also added more color to the orientation camp life .

The lights converge in the stage , the four hosts , Klay and Maggie in the warm applause of the students and parents boarded the stage , with their enthusiasm and confidence to welcome parents and guests , showing a confident and generous style .


The first performance was "Sunny Day" by Ericic, Issac, Kevin, and Hugo. They narrated the story of a sunny day in the rhythm of the music. The nervousness before going on stage dissipated with the warm applause from the audience, transforming into a pleasant melody that filled the auditorium.

While everyone was still basking in the warmth of the sunny day, Lu Yaoyuan brought a musical shock to everyone with her guitar performance of "Twenty-Two". The audience was captivated by Odelette's melodious singing and the beautiful guitar melody, clapping in rhythm with the music.

After listening to Odelette's beautiful playing and singing, Lily, Malinda, Maggie and Luna read "Green ". The beautiful and affectionate reading made us immerse ourselves in the scene and feel the charm of literature .

The host’s announcement brought us back to reality from the world of poetry, and our student Jerry appeared with his famous song "Apologize".

Following on, the performance of "Love Me Love Me Love Me" by students Lucia Wang and Aster Wang, and "Every Day" and "R" by Alex Chen and Jessie Zhang, were as splendid as the previous acts. Their dance steps and singing wove together, adding a bold and vivid stroke to the closing ceremony.

In the classic songs "Satisfied" and "Who Lives, Who Dies" from the Hamilton musical, arranged by students Madeline Wu, Claire Jiang, Ethan Lu, and Hugo Zhu, the performers showcased a professional level in both singing and dancing, bringing us a feast for the eyes and ears, and allowing us to feel the youthful vitality and artistic charm of the students.

Darren Ding's piano solo "By the Lake Baikal," along with the songs "A Million Dreams" and "At Least I Have You" by Timmy Xiao and Clover Shi, showcased the diversity of music. The piano melody, poetic and picturesque, transported the audience to the tranquility and mystery of Lake Baikal. The songs, with their beautiful and touching melodies, were delivered by singers with emotionally rich voices that conveyed the stories and emotions within, immersing the listeners.

The dance "Samba" was brought to life by Kiki Zhao with vibrant and passionate steps. With exquisite skills and full enthusiasm, she showed the unique charm of the dance, allowing people to feel the joyful atmosphere and the infinite charm of dance.

The melody of the song "Can't Help Falling in Love" is lively and pleasant, with a vibrant rhythm. The singer, Kevin Ouyang, with his unique and charming performance, evoked beautiful memories of youthful love.

The dance "Dian Yu Si" was showcased by Lucia Wang, who blended the charm of ancient style with a sense of strength in her exquisite skills. Her movements, both rigid and soft, synchronized with the rhythm of the music, vividly portrayed the joys and sorrows of the story.


The sketch "Sir, Please Come Out of the Mountain," performed by Jimmy Fang, Jelf Qian, Fred Li, and Rory Zheng, attracted the audience with its creative and humorous plot, showing a very high level of comedic charm.


The songs "Fairy Tale Town" and "Blue and White Porcelain" were performed by Harry Zhou and Eric Zhao, each with a different style. One created a dreamy fairy tale world, and the other showed classical charm, both providing the audience with an unforgettable auditory experience with their unique charm.


"Back to Back Embrace," with its pleasant melody and infectious rhythm, was profoundly depicted by Joseph Wu in the contradictions and struggles of emotions, becoming a memorable masterpiece on the closing ceremony stage.

In the dance "Huayao Dai," Sienna Liu, with her gorgeous costume, beautiful dance movements, and rich ethnic customs, was intoxicating, showing the unique charm of Huayao Dai and taking the audience into a mysterious and beautiful Dai world.

The songs "Fur Flower" and "Running Wild" were brought by Alice Wang and Ava Su, one melodious and nostalgic, the other youthful and vibrant, both bringing a unique emotional experience to the audience.

Carolina Sun's solo "Love Story" and the seniors' chorus "How Long Has It Been Since You've Looked Up and Counted the Stars" by Ken Zhang, Ethan Lu, Claire Jiang, and Kimi Wang added more emotion and memories to the closing ceremony.


Finally, the grand chorus "What We Came Here For" by all campers brought the entire closing ceremony to a successful end. Let's look forward to the arrival of the new term, when we will gather again to create more beautiful memories together.
