更好地规划高中生活









雨水至,万物生,春色渐浓。在万物复苏的季节里,宏润博源学子们也迎来一年一度的职业探索活动。职业探索活动是宏润博源学校自主研发设计的学生咨询与辅导课程,旨在帮助同学们更好地进行自我探索,了解自己的兴趣爱好,性格特征,擅长的学科和技能,启发同学们对未来大学专业和职业的思考,引导同学们树立职业生涯发展意识,从而激发他们的学习动力,合理规划高中生活。

This drizzling and reviving spring saw the annual Career Preview activity organized by SHBS for its students. As an advisory and tutorial program independently developed and designed by SHBS, it aims to help students better explore themselves, know about their own interests and hobbies, personality traits and strengths, enlighten them about how to make good choices on their future majors and career paths, and help them raise their awareness of career development so that they can get well motivated and properly plan their high school years.

在升学部门带领下,同学们开启了为期一个月的职业生涯探索及规划活动。这次活动分为三个阶段,分别为自我探索职业探索职业跟进

Led by the College Advising Department, students embarked on a month-long career exploration and planning journey. It included three phases: self-exploration, career exploration, and career follow-up.

在自我探索阶段,升学部门结合各年级学生的学业重心,性格特征,自我认知水平设计了一系列丰富的活动,并指导班主任老师们在3月6日下午CAS时间以及当周每天晨会上与班级同学们进一步深入沟通,启迪他们对未来的构思。

During self-exploration, the CA Department designed a series of activities based on the academic focus, personality traits and cognition levels of students of all grades, and advised homeroom teachers to further communicate with their students during the CAS time on the afternoon of March 6 and at the P&B sessions every morning that week, in order to inspire students to think about their future.



预备年级Pre Grade

新的学期,新的环境下预备年级的同学们仍在不断自我探索,找寻自己的方向,因此学校特别展开了职业探索活动。帮助更多的同学们认识自我,了解自己的性格和学习特点,并启发他们主动去探索不同行业的职场人特征,进一步利用外界刺激了解自我。

In the new semester, students of Pre-Grade are still exploring themselves and trying to find their own path to success in the new community. Thus, the school organized the career exploration activity to help students know about themselves, their own personality traits and academic habits, and to guide them to find out the characteristics of people working in different industries, further understand themselves through external stimulation.


一开始,林老师提出了四个问题

At the beginning, Ms. Chuman Lin raised four questions:


1)相较于团队合作,你是否更喜欢自己独立完成?

2)遇到困难时,你更倾向于自己独立解决还是寻求帮助,让对方给你指令与方法?

3)你喜欢通过发信息或邮件来跟人沟通还是喜欢面对面沟通?

4)一天中哪个时段是你的高效工作时间?

1) Do you prefer to work on your own or to work with a team? 

2) When encountering difficulties, do you prefer to overcome them by yourself or to ask for help and let others give you instructions and tell you how to do? 

3) Do you prefer to communicate with people by texting or emailing or to talk to them in person? 

4) When are you most productive during a day?


这几个看似简单的问题引发了同学们的热烈讨论,也让不少同学陷入了纠结之中,许久都没有一个明确的答案。在老师们的带领下,预备年级的同学们进行了MBTI性格测试。很多同学对MBTI测试并不陌生,甚至有些同学还做过不止一遍。在班主任老师的指导下,同学们认真投入地完成了测试,并与身边的同学,老师们进行了探讨,分享各自的测试结果。老师建议同学们可保留每一阶段的性格测试,看看一段时间后是否会发生变化,然后探究结果变化的原因,找寻自己。在活动的最后,同学们也根据自己的兴趣爱好,结合性格测试的建议选出自己心仪的三个职业探索讲座,大家期待着在下周的嘉宾分享讲座中多了解自己的兴趣领域和未知领域。

These seemingly simple questions triggered a heated discussion among students. Guided by their HR teachers, pre-graders took the MBTI personality test. Many of them were familiar with the MBTI test, and some even took it more than once. Having completed the test, they shared their test results with classmates and teachers present and had a discussion with them. Teachers suggested that students keep their test result for each stage so that they might see if they would change after a period of time, and then find out the reasons for the changes. At the end of the activity, the students selected three lectures on career exploration according to their own interests combined with the suggestions given by the personality test. They were looking forward to learning more about what they were interested and what was unknown to them by attending the lectures to be given by guest speakers the next week.



十年级10th Grade

十年级大部分的在场同学在此之前都做过MBTI性格测试,所以我们跳过了这一步,首先让同学们使用提前让大家注册好的账号登录College Board(美国大学理事会)网站,并做了网站上的职业探究测试,以此启蒙自己对于大学专业以及未来职业类别选择的意识。在此过程中,三位班主任及时帮大家答疑解惑,解决了同学们无法登录或看不懂选项的问题。等大家完成了测试后,网站上出现一些可能的职业选择,同学们从中选出三个自己最感兴趣的,并填写设计好的表格,从需要具备的技能和偏向的学科入手,引导自身树立职业生涯发展的想法,从而合理规划高中生涯。

Most of the students in Grade 10 had taken the MBTI personality test before, so we skipped this step, and began with asking students to log in to the College Board website using the account they had registered in advance and to take the career inquiry test on the website so that they might enlighten themselves on the choice of college major and future career category. In this process, 3 HR teachers answered questions and solved the problem that students could not log in or could not understand the options. After they completed the test, some possible career options appeared on the website. Students selected three of them that they were most interested in, and used the table to write down and prepare for their career paths. Starting from the skills they needed and the subjects they preferred, they guided themselves to establish the idea of career development, so as to reasonably plan their high school career.




十一年级11th Grade

十一年级同学们正在紧张地备战大学申请。他们中的大多数已经大概了解了自己擅长的领域和感兴趣的专业,他们需要更深地理解自我。而在自我探索环节,十一年级的同学参与了Cialfo平台上的性格测试。Cialfo平台是美国大学本科申请的网站,在申请阶段同学们会使用到更多功能。而了解自我,不仅能够帮助未来的职业探索,更能够让他们选校时能够更容易找到更适合自己的学校和专业。有许多同学惊喜地发现,性格测试的结果非常精准,让我们不禁感叹在科技创新发展的时代,人们可以借助专业工具,更加中立地、多角度地在年少时就更加了解自己。这也让同学们能够合理规划剩余宝贵且短暂的高中生涯。当然,老师们也在引导,这些测试都只能反应学生当时当下的状态和选择,是动态的,只是我们了解自己的一种参照,要具备成长型思维。

The 11th graders are busy applying for colleges. Most of them have had a rough idea of their strengths and interests. They need to have a deeper understanding of themselves. While exploring themselves, 11th graders took a personality test on the Cialfo platform. The Cialfo platform is the website for undergraduate application in the U.S., and students may use more of its functions while applying for colleges. Knowing about themselves can not only help them explore their future career paths, but also make it easier for them to find more schools and majors that suit them when they choose colleges. Many students were surprised to find that the results of the personality test were very accurate. We were deeply impressed by the fact that in the era of technological innovation and development, people have access to many standardized evaluations, so that they can understand themselves more neutrally and from multiple perspectives at a earlier age. Students are also allowed to reasonably plan the rest of their precious and short high school years. Of course, teachers are also playing the role of an instructor. These tests can only reflect the current state and choice of students at the present time. They are dynamic and we just refer to them when we try to understand ourselves. Our way of thinking needs to grow with the times.





十二年级12th Grade

与其它年级的同学们相比,十二年级的同学们已收获大学录取通知书,成熟稳重的他们开始憧憬未来大学的专业及职业。本次的职业探索活动于他们而言,意义重大。一方面职业探索可以帮他们提前思考该如何更好地适应大学生活;另一方面学校邀请到的重磅嘉宾也帮助他们搭建了宝贵的资源网络,让他们能带着更清晰的目标与自己感兴趣的行业和专家面对面交流,并了解该行业的招聘要求,树立目标,从而让自己慢慢成为合格的人才。在CAS自我探索环节,Chris校长带领同学们思考并讨论高中和大学的区别、大学和职场中的区别。通过讨论,准毕业生对将来的大学生活和职场生活有了更深刻的认知,对要以什么样的态度去准备和面对未来生活也有更明确的规划。在CAS活动结束后,每位同学根据自己的爱好选择了下周三场职业嘉宾分享会,并纷纷构思自己想要请教嘉宾们的问题。

Compared with the other grades, the 12th graders have already received their college admission letters and are looking forward to their future college majors and careers. This career exploration activity is very meaningful to them. On the one hand, the career exploration can help them think ahead on how to adapt to college life; on the other hand, the guest speakers invited by the school also help them build a valuable resource network, so that they can communicate with the industry and experts they are interested in face to face with clearer goals, and understand the recruitment requirements of the industry, and set up goals so that they can slowly become qualified talents. In the CAS self-exploration session, Principal Chris led the students to think and discuss the difference between high school and college, and the difference between college and the workplace. Through the discussion, the prospective graduates had a deeper understanding of their future university life and workplace life, and had a clearer plan of what kind of attitude they should take to prepare and face their future life. After the CAS activity, each student chose three career guest sharing sessions for the next week according to their own preferences, and conceived questions they would like to ask the guests.


本届职业探索活动的安排在结构,内容,规模,及实用性方面在以往的基础上进行了优化。升学部老师们为不同年级的同学们准备不同的CAS及晨会活动,结合了各年级同学阶段性的升学目标,对各年级同学进行有针对性的指导。除此之外,为了帮助同学们树立初步的职业规划意识,升学部不仅增加了行业/工种的范畴,更是在家长们的共同协力之下,成功地邀请到十五位不同行业精英人士。相信在这次家校合力的“职业探索”活动中,同学们会增强对自我的认识和探索,增强职业规划意识,更加明确未来的方向,也更具备自我驱动力。

We have improved this year's Career Exploration Activities in terms of structure, content, scale and practicality. The teachers from the College Advising Department had designed different activities for CAS and P&B sessions for different students of different grades, and provided targeted guidance for them based on their respective periodic goals. In addition, in order to help raise their awareness of career planning, the department not only included more careers and jobs but also, thanks to the support of parents, successfully invited 15 elites from different areas. We believe that, through this activity, which has been made possible by both the school and parents, students will have a better understanding of themselves, raise their awareness of career planning, become more aware of how they should develop themselves, and be more motivated.
