Death is an inevitable topic that brings fear and sadness, but it also reminds us to cherish life. Martina expressed her feelings about facing death and her longing for the departed through her personal experience. She advocated moving forward amidst remembrance, using death as a perspective to motivate life.

Next on stage, Claire talked about the positive and negative impacts of technological development on real life. Technology has improved daily life and added convenience, such as advancements in communication technology and online education. However, it has also brought challenges in terms of privacy and data security. We need to approach the dual nature of technology with caution.

Ivan discussed the issue of information cocoons. He pointed out that personalized information delivery may lead people to become stagnant, isolated from society, and affect their personalities. He suggested combating this phenomenon through self-control and adjusting algorithm policies.

Stephanie, a senior in the eleventh grade, shared her experiences and challenges in facing the upcoming study abroad journey and the feeling of loneliness. In her speech, she encouraged everyone to learn to find warmth in a foreign land, combat loneliness through connections with others, and embrace cultural and environmental changes.

Finally, Jenny, a sophomore student, talked about how to inspire creativity by breaking conventional thinking. She believed that emotional management is crucial for dealing with setbacks in creative work and can help us recover from failures.

These speeches covered various aspects ranging from life philosophy to the impact of technology and personal growth. They showcased the students' unique insights and thoughtful reflections on these profound topics.

While the participating students gave their speeches with confidence and enthusiasm on stage, the intense scoring process unfolded in the audience. Students discussed and contemplated, voting for the contestants they supported. Teachers also scribbled and drew on the scoreboards, pondering who the most outstanding speaker was. As the scoreboards were raised one by one and the backstage machine calculated the scores, the title of the ultimate winner belonged to Stephanie. Accompanied by enthusiastic applause, the English speech contest came to a close. The students experienced the charm of public speaking and left with unforgettable memories.
