As environmental issues increasingly become a global focus, SHBS organized students to participate in a pick-up activity at Dadian Lake - "Carry It Away." Leading the students to the front line, this activity aimed to spread environmental awareness and demonstrate their concern for the environment through practical action. It not only showcased the students' spirit of practice but also highlighted the responsibility and commitment of young people to their future home, awakening more people to environmental awareness and participation through their own actions.

On the afternoon of October 29, with a gentle autumn breeze and leaves gradually turning golden, fallen leaves covered the ground near Dadian Lake, rustling underfoot. At this time, the students from the publicity team had already arrived early and started creating promotional posters, each stroke reflecting their determination for environmental protection and love for nature.

Under the guidance of Teacher Wang, Teacher Yu, and Teacher Long, the students in the pick-up team also began their task of collecting garbage. In today's world, environmental issues are increasingly prominent, and we face many serious environmental challenges. Global climate change, species extinction, water scarcity, and other problems threaten our survival and future. To address these challenges, as international high school students, proactive action should be taken, starting from small things around, spreading environmental awareness, and promoting comprehensive environmental protection. This pick-up activity is our modest contribution to environmental protection through leading by example.

The autumn sun is soft and not dazzling, and it is invigorating to shine on us. Every time a piece of garbage is picked up, the land becomes cleaner, and the sense of accomplishment is indescribable. However, the power of a single school or group is limited, more people should join the environmental action, forming a collective force to promote environmental protection together. At the same time, governments, businesses, and society as a whole need to work together to establish stricter environmental policies and regulations, promote waste sorting and resource recycling, and reduce environmental pollution and resource waste.

After the pick-up, students gathered around the poster and signed their names on it. This is not just a signature but also a commitment and determination for environmental protection. This signature represents respect and responsibility for the future and nature, a covenant between students and nature.

Through this voluntary environmental activity, we hope to awaken more people's attention to environmental issues, convey environmental awareness, and jointly promote the comprehensive development of environmental protection. We believe that everyone's active participation and efforts can have a positive impact and create a better future for our home.
