The poet Liu Yuxi once wrote, "Since ancient times, autumn has brought sorrow and loneliness, yet I declare that an autumn day surpasses a spring morning. A solitary crane in the clear sky lines up with the clouds, thereby drawing poetic emotions to the azure heavens." During this golden autumn season, teachers and students of SHBS gathered in the auditorium to participate in the "Voice the Deep Feelings in Poetry and Painting" recital festival, experiencing together the poetic charm and profound ink fragrance that transcend time.

"Life is like a flower, though fleeting, every moment can radiate its beauty." At the beginning of the recital, students Jenny Liang, Sophie Xu, Amy Liu, Evelyn Jin, Happy Yang, and Jessie Guo opened the event with the poem Live Like Summer Flowers, immersing the audience in a poetic painting where light and shadow intermingled.

Next, Wilson Shen and Steven Shi offered their insights on friendship, and the ethereal and clear piano piece See You Again awakened everyone's deeply treasured memories.

Subsequently, Charles Wang, Jiahe Liu, Jazmine Xing, Jiaxin Chi, Charlie Wu, Bruce Feng, Jerry Huang, and Han Zhong recited excerpts from the world-renowned classic The Little Prince in five languages. Following the footsteps of the Little Prince, the students explored his planet, experiencing his innocence and kindness.

"The great river flows eastward, washing away all, leaving behind countless figures of historic brilliance." The life journey of Mr. Zhang Dai is truly inspiring. Ivan Xie, Jasper Xu, Harry Guo, Mike Yi, and Evony Huang adapted Watching Snow at Lake Center Pavilion into a captivating skit, deeply depicting the poet's emotions and philosophies.

Kevin Yin's guitar performance and Steven Chen's singing slowly narrated the rich emotions in Voice by Voice, demonstrating a strong artistic appeal.

Su Shi's Water Melody is a well-known classic. Selina Song's graceful dance, Ken Zhang's heartfelt recital, and Martina Wang's melodious singing brought us a stunning audio-visual feast.

Cambridge, the place that both fascinated and broke Xu Zhimo's heart, was deeply appreciated through Saying Goodbye to Cambridge Again, presented by Rachel Sheng, Tony Zhou, Lucy Jiang, Minnie Weng, Dora Hang, and Monica Zhou. They made us feel the enchanting scenery of Cambridge once again.

The grand finale of the recital was brought by Justin Chi, Anderson Qu, Jerry Chen, and Dylan Huo, with their original piece The Proverbs of SHBS, which pushed the atmosphere to a climax. Quotes from teachers, legendary stories from seniors, and the recreation of classic campus scenes... The piece of work deeply expressed their love and praise for the school, leading to continuous applause from the audience.

The recital came to an end accompanied by poetry. It is hoped that every participant has benefited from it and truly experienced: everyone can recite classics and feel the classics from one's own heart.
