Each semester's club recruitment is like a magic show, which lights up the campus of SHBS into a colorful world. On the stage full of vigor and creativity, we explore the depths of knowledge, sharpen our leadership skills, find like-minded friendships, and discover infinite possibilities. In this semester alone, more than 40 clubs have been successfully established, and each student can choose to participate in two of them, allowing them to fully unleash their interests and talents.
• Academic Clubs
Business Contest Club, Chemistry Lab Club, China Thinks Big Club, Biology Club, Government and Civic Studies... They are more than just extensions of subjects offered, but more of a source of stimulating thoughts. Here, students search for answers, unlock mysteries, and understand the unknowns of the world. In these academic clubs, the gains go beyond knowledge; equally significant is the cultivation of critical thinking skills.
• Arts and Sports Clubs
Whether it is the Fencing Club, Soccer Club, Shadow Puppetry Club which has been in existence for many years, or the Skateboarding Club, Cycling Club and Drama Club started up by new arrivals, all of them are a world of ingenuity. Here, students sweat, release their passion and write their own youth.
• Featured Clubs
In clubs like the Chinese Culture Experience and Research Club, "HalloWorld" Club, and the Model United Nations Club, students embark on journeys through time and space to explore cultures worldwide, immersing themselves in the global tapestry. In these settings, everyone transforms into a global citizen, wholeheartedly embracing multiculturalism and honing their cross-cultural communication skills. This platform empowers students to have their voices heard and contribute to global peace and progress.
Every club serves as a bright beacon that illuminates the campus, and each member acts as a messenger delivering this light. Here, students acquire knowledge and gather valuable experiences for their future lives. Participation in clubs not only cultivates students' teamwork, leadership skills, and innovative thinking but also provides them with boundless opportunities.
After the club presentation, booth recruitment begins. Here, club leaders are not just recruiters but also champions of dreams. They transmit their passion to every new student, allowing more individuals to join the club, engage with it, ignite their enthusiasm, and pursue their dreams.
At SHBS, clubs serve as a platform for personal growth and a hall for self-improvement. Here, students not only expand their knowledge and refine their character but also acquire essential skills and develop a sense of responsibility.
Within the diverse mix of clubs, students will continually elevate themselves, foster innovation, strive for excellence, and progress toward a promising future.
May the light of the clubs illuminate the journey ahead and inspire hope for the future.
