The SHBS 2025 English Dubbing Competition kicked off in the auditorium. The hosts, Chen and Yu, dressed in dark formal suits, connected the audience with their calm stage presence and led the audience on a magical journey of sound.  

Wang opened the show with "I'm so high!", using his powerful voice to interpret the role of a passionate comic book character. His jumping voice penetrated the air like an electric current, and his high-pitched shouts and rapid breathing intertwined, pushing the passion of youth to the extreme.  

Gu and Yu teamed up to present SpongeBob SquarePants. The former used a flexible and funny voice to reproduce SpongeBob's optimistic and noisy personality, while the latter used a low and lazy tone to portray Squidward's decadent temperament. The collision of the two extreme voices recreated the absurd daily life of Bikini Bottom.

Ren played multiple roles in "Cells at Work!", with the tender voice of platelets and the hoarse voice of white blood cells forming a sharp contrast. Through the switching of voices, the fierce attack and defense battle in the microscopic world seemed to be transformed into a concrete sound wave that swept the whole audience.  

Kong, Zhang and Zhao performed The Little Prince together. The ethereal whisper of the rose, the gentle monologue of the fox and the clear questioning of the boy, the three voices intertwined like planetary rings, constructed the poetic universe of planet B612 in the theater.

In "Honkai: Star Rail", Lu breaks the routine and creates a mysterious and absurd aesthetic with psychedelic voice and distorted sound effects. The ethereal whispers and abrupt rhythm switching seem to bring the audience into a dreamland where reality and illusion interweave.

Zuo injected a thrilling atmosphere into the PV of "The Fifth Personality", with a strong contrast between the suppressed breathy performance and the sharp lines that suddenly rose. The looming heartbeat sound effects and footsteps echoes in the background sent the suffocating feeling of the escape game straight to the audience's spine through sound waves.

Sun, Ji, Shen, and Hou performed “Nezha” together, recreating the oriental myth with a magnificent sound field. The rustling sound of the Hun Tian Ling, the roar of the Third Prince, and the roar of thunder intertwined, the young man's passion to change his fate boiled in the sound waves, and the audience seemed to have the shadow of a lotus blossoming.

Gao, Guo, and Huang performed a cross-dressing vocal show with "SNL Call Me by Your Name". They seamlessly switched between the lazy Italian summer chatter and the exaggerated tone of American talk shows, sometimes affectionate and sometimes absurd and hilarious, completing a cross-cultural humorous deconstruction in the jump of their voices.

Song and Zhang made their final appearance, presenting a dark fairytale style with "Stepmother's Tea Party". Song used operatic and gorgeous high notes to outline the arrogance of the villain, while Zhang used sticky whispers to portray the sinister scheming. The two voices intertwined dangerously like poison and honey.

During the two-hour competition, the contestants used sound to construct 14 completely different worlds. When Chen and Yu announced the closing ceremony, the sound patterns were still echoing under the dome of the auditorium.
