Pre Grade
Four homeroom teachers meticulously planned and prepared 8 scripts based on different characters for the students. The students were enthusiastic and actively participated, quickly selecting 8 group leaders and deputy leaders. Through random selection, each group received the topic they needed to rehearse and perform. Guided by the teachers, each group quickly found suitable locations and began the tense and orderly preparation work, which not only promoted mutual acquaintance and familiarity among the Pre grade students but also added anticipation to the activity.
As the performances began, each student immersed themselves in their roles with full enthusiasm, showcasing their unique personalities and styles. On stage, the students' improvisational dialogues and interactions sparked waves of laughter and applause, exuding the energy and joy of youth. In the end, through the collective voting of the students and teachers, the most outstanding group in everyone's minds was selected, bringing a successful conclusion to the activity.
Through this improvisational performance, not only did it enhance friendships among the students, but it also allowed them to remain calm in the face of unknown challenges, further improving their leadership and organizational skills as well as their imagination.

The 10th-grade activity focused on the preparation for standardized and language exams. Ms.Viola emphasized the importance of language exams and how to improve exam scores. Subsequently, two outstanding senior students—Ella and Bruce—shared their experiences in increasing their scores and exam strategies in the IELTS and TOEFL exams. Finally, the students returned to their respective administrative classes for specific arrangements and guidance from their form teachers.
Bruce shared his experience in preparing for the IELTS exam, advising everyone not to believe various rumors on the internet such as "improve by 3 points in 3 days" or "no improvement after multiple attempts", but to plan their exam preparation time clearly and believe in themselves.
Regarding improving scores, extensive vocabulary accumulation is essential. While memorizing 50 words a day may seem like a good idea, few people can effectively persevere. Therefore, Bruce suggested that everyone watch more American TV series, as it not only helps accumulate words and common phrases but also exercises listening skills. In addition to TV series, everyone should also make good use of podcasts, which not only train the ears but also enhance knowledge reserves, so you won't be nervous during the oral exam or have nothing to say. Watching the news is also an effective way to accumulate topics for oral discussions. If the examiner happens to be interested in current affairs, you may have an enjoyable chat and earn a good score.
Regarding the inevitable "practice questions", Bruce believed that choosing a reasonable time period for doing questions can improve the quality of practice. For example, listening to listening exercises when you are most alert in the morning, and doing reading exercises in the evening or when you are less likely to feel drowsy. As for writing, Bruce recommended everyone to watch the "Simon Writing" course to learn how to structure writing based on various question types. He mentioned that the novelty of the essay is also an important scoring factor. Bruce advised everyone to seize the golden time in the 10th grade and achieve the desired scores sooner.
Ella shared her practical experience in preparing for the TOEFL exam. She believed that daily reading habits are very important, but considering that habits are not easy to form, she suggested that students use YouTube instead of Bilibili to easily learn English in their spare time. For the reading test, she suggested that students carefully read the articles they practice on a regular basis—finish the article questions within a fixed time, write down the pronunciation and meaning of new words, and having an authentic accent significantly helps with speaking. Each sentence of the article should be fully analyzed and understood. Although the process of reading an article in full order can be painful, it is very helpful for improving reading skills. For the listening section, Ella recommended echoing each sentence, which not only practices speaking but also familiarizes with the TOEFL question bank text, as the overall difficulty of the TOEFL is relatively average, so many words and expressions in the questions are quite similar. In terms of speaking, according to the scoring principles, fluency and some sentence variations should be ensured at least. It is effective to frequently listen to your own recordings and improve. Although it may be awkward, it is definitely effective.
Both senior students not only fully considered various procrastination and laziness mindsets of the students as "experienced persons," providing targeted learning plans, but also shared many tips and materials to help students avoid anxiety and provide substantial content.

The 11th-grade activities revolve around the theme "Shaping Your Future with the Power of Honor and Inspiration", divided into three main segments: Excellence Recognition, Model Sharing, and College Planning Sharing. The entire event is rich in content and profound in meaning, providing valuable learning and growth inspiration for the students.
At the beginning of the event, the school recognized several outstanding students for their academic achievements and presented them with certificates of honor, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. This recognition not only serves as encouragement for the excellent students but also sets an example for all students, inspiring them to strive for higher academic and personal growth.
Following this, two academic models—Martina and Lucas—shared their learning experiences and success stories.
Martina started by emphasizing the significance of extracurricular activities, explaining how they helped broaden her horizons, develop skills, and connect with like-minded friends. She highlighted how these activities not only enriched her learning experience but also facilitated personal growth.
Lucas shared his study tips from an efficiency perspective. He stressed the importance of focusing on improving study efficiency rather than just investing a lot of time in studying. He advised everyone to plan their time wisely, concentrate on completing tasks effectively, and achieve more with less effort. His practical suggestions received enthusiastic applause from the audience, benefiting all present students.
Towards the end of the event, Mr.Nicolas delivered a presentation on college planning. Using detailed examples and data, he introduced key points to consider during the college application process, including preparing application materials, time management, and standing out among numerous applicants. Mr.Nicolas particularly emphasized the importance of clarifying interests and goals early on, choosing a path that suits oneself, rather than following trends blindly. The comprehensive and well-structured presentation addressed many uncertainties students had about college planning, guiding them towards their efforts.
This CAS event not only recognized outstanding students and shared valuable learning experiences but also helped students understand the importance of future planning. Through such sharing and interactions, students not only gained motivation for learning but also felt the school's deep care for their growth and development.

On the sun-drenched lawn in front of the Cat Paradise, students gathered together, spending an afternoon filled with laughter and warmth. The air was filled with the aroma of barbecues as everyone enjoyed delicious dishes like turkey noodles, corn tarts, cheese sticks, along with refreshing drinks like Paris water and coconut juice to quench our thirst. Amidst the laughter and chatter, time seemed to become especially gentle.
After the feast, Ms.Grace led everyone to sit together in a circle and initiated a discussion about the future. She raised topics such as "What do you want to do after graduation?" and "What will the first week of college be like?" encouraging everyone to share their hopes and aspirations. During the discussion, we envisioned various possibilities of university life, feeling the excitement and curiosity of transitioning from high school to a new stage. Ms.Grace also shared her personal experiences, recounting the indescribable emotions and warmth she felt when she unexpectedly heard Chinese in a university with few Chinese students. Her story made us realize that the future is not only full of challenges but also brimming with unexpected moments of beauty.
This event, set in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, heightened our anticipation for the new journey after graduation and allowed us to feel the warmth and support from each other as we approached the moment of parting.
Through this grade-based CAS activity, students not only gained knowledge and skills but also deepened their self-awareness and future planning. Whether through performances, sharing experiences, or discussing future goals, each interaction made the students more confident and mature!
