“北辰论坛”是由我校学生会创立并组织的学生“议政”活动。《论语·为政篇》中有曰:“为政以德,譬如北辰,居其所而众星共之。” “北辰论坛”的名字也由此而来。6月6日CAS时间,第四届北辰论坛在线上顺利举行,由学生会秘书长任同学主持,全校师生参与讨论。北辰论坛旨在让同学们更多地参与到社区建设中来,通过提案,更好地建设属于同学们的校园社区。
"Beichen Forum" is a platform established by SHBS ASB for students to discuss community affairs. The CAS session on June 6 saw the successful conclusion of the 4th "Beichen Forum". This session was hosted by Amy Ren, Secretary General of the ASB, and all teachers and students participated in the discussion. "Beichen Forum" aims to encourage students to create their ideal school through presenting their proposals on school development.

林同学提议在校园里创立校服回收机制。她观察到,除了在校期间,同学们很少有机会和场合再穿学校的校服,对于毕业生而言更是如此。此外,同学们正处于发育阶段,有时今年买的校服,明年可能就已经穿不下了。因此,她想鼓励大家捐赠出自己不再穿且成色仍然不错的校服。这部分校服会经过专门的学生组织安排清洗和消毒,之后再以较低的价格售卖给有需要的同学。售卖产生的收益用来支付对回收上来的校服的清洗和消毒费用。如此做法,一是可以帮助有需要的同学节省开支,二是也能够为环保做贡献。如果一些校服不能够再使用,她也建议同学们可以洗净放入学校的绿色回收箱。
Selina Lin proposed to establish a system of uniform recycling on campus. She observed that there are few other occasions for students, especially graduates, to wear school uniforms except when they are on campus. In addition, students are growing quickly, so sometimes they may find that the school uniforms they have bought this year are not large enough for them to put on next year. Therefore, she encouraged them to donate school uniforms that they no longer wear but still are in wearable conditions. Those donated uniforms will be cleaned and sanitized by a specialized volunteer group, and then sold to students in need at a lower price. The profits from the sale would help pay for the cleaning and disinfection of the recycled uniforms. In this way, for one thing, we can help those who need uniforms save money, and for another, we can do our part to protect the environment. She also suggested that, as for those unwearable uniforms, students wash them and put them in the school's green recycling bin.
两位李同学代表ClouDsun文创社团和Genesis公益社团,宣传了他们近期正在做的公益项目。在学期初,他们看到了关于“捡回珍珠计划”的公益宣传片。在大山里,有许多与我们年龄相仿的青少年,对他们来说,上学这样平常的事,却因为贫困而变得难以实现。同学们深受触动,于是决定筹办一场线上义卖活动,为这些学生筹集学费。他们邀请了12位志愿者创作设计了主题盲盒产品,包括绘画,书法,摄影等等。而这些作品被放入盲盒,以不同的价格进行售卖。卖家可以通过公众号的链接进行购买,在帮助这些蒙尘珍珠继续发亮的同时,也可以获得主题虚拟产品。
On behalf of ClouDsun, a club focusing on making creative artifacts and Genesis, a club for public welfare, Charlotte Li and Lee Li presented the public welfare project they have been doing recently. At the beginning of the semester, they watched "the Pearl Recovery Program", a video promoting support for the education of teenagers in mountaineous areas in China. Many teenagers about our age who live in mountainous areas find can't go to school because of poverty. Feeling sympathy for them, students decided to organize an online bazaar to raise money so that they could help those kids pay for their tuition. 12 volunteers were invited to design products including painting, calligraphy, photography and so on. Their artworks were put into blind boxes and sold at different prices. Buyers can purchase through the link released in the official account, and get some virtual products while helping recover the pearls at the same time.
朱同学针对学校里的枇杷园提出了一些设想。疫情留校期间,她注意到学校枇杷树上的果实把枝头都压弯了,产量是很大的。于是她提议在枇杷成熟的季节,组织同学们采摘枇杷,可以制作成枇杷膏或枇杷干等食品(也可以是新鲜的枇杷),售卖给有需要的师生。同时,所得收益可以补贴活动经费,多余的可以作为善款进行捐赠。我们可以通过问卷了解学生们的参与意向,然后组织采摘和食品制作,参与采摘的同学们也可以获得义工小时数。
Luca Zhu came up with some ideas for the loquat garden in our school. During her stay on campus during the lockdown, she noticed that the loquat trees were laden with fruits and produced quite a big yield. She suggested that students pick loquats when they are ripe and make them into loquat sauce or dried loquats (or fresh loquats) and sell them to teachers and students who need them. Meanwhile, the profit can be used to cover what has been spent on the activity, and the surplus can be donated to charity funds. We can design a survey and invite student volunteers to join this project, and then organize the fruit-picking and processing. Volunteers of this project will be rewarded with community service hours.
蔡同学宣传了已经运营的小程序“懂梗”。随着网络交流程度加深,很多根植社会生活,捕捉社会情绪的“热词”快速地出现在我们的生活中。团队小伙伴们注意到,当一些人在和不同群体沟通时下意识地会使用一些“梗语”,沟通中的“他者”却可能从来没有听说过这一“梗语”,两者之间的沟通就会在一定程度上产生障碍。所以,他们开发了一个小程序,类似一款梗语小词典,让人人都能懂梗语,这样关于梗语不通的交流问题就会得到改善。蔡同学介绍了自己的团队,以及小程序的运行情况,也希望感兴趣的师生可以通过投资的方式参与到项目中来。
Hanxiao Cai promoted "How to Understand Meme Slangs", a mini program he has been running with his team. With the deepening of social networking, many "hot words" that are rooted in our social life and capture social emotions quickly come into being. His team have noticed that some people may unconsciously use some "Meme Slangs" when communicating with different groups, and the "other party" in the conversation may have never heard such an expression, so the two may find it difficult, to some extent, to communicate with each other. Therefore, they developed a mini program, like a small dictionary of "Meme Slangs", to make it accessible to everyone, and to solve the problems with communication in this aspect. Hanxiao introduced his team to us and told us how they have been running the mini program. He also hoped that those interested could invest in the project.
李同学认为同学们应该要更加重视也需要“晨间问好”。其实早晨的问候对心情的影响比想象中大得多。早晨的忙碌,导致互相之间的交流仅仅止步于问好。她提议,无论性格差异,无论心情好坏,我们可以利用早餐和课间等空档,通过学校广播系统增加天气预报版块提醒师生增减衣物或是否需要携带雨具,或播报一些简短的治愈内容,缓解师生的疲惫,振奋精神。最后她也提到,希望大家平时都能给身边的人更多的关心。
Candy Li believed that it is important and necessary for students to exchange greetings in the morning. In fact, exchange of greetings in the morning makes a greater impact on our mood than we imagine. The rush in the morning has limit our communication to only saying hello to each other. She suggested that we remind teachers and students to wear warm clothes or bring along umbrellas by adding weather forecast to the school broadcasting during the breakfast time and breaks between classes, or we broadcast something soothing or inspiring so as to reduce their fatigue and cheer them up. Finally, she hoped that everyone should care more about those around him or her.
陈同学针对完善学校服务性义工制度提出了几点建议。义工是我们学校的一个特色,也是学生社会责任感和志愿精神培养的一个重要途径。他发现平时校内的义工种类单一且重复,也存在数量不足的情况。他提议可以鼓励学生多参加一些校外义工,学生能够自主选择主题和义工内容,这种形式对未来升学也会有所帮助。学生在参与更多与自己兴趣方面有关的义工时,也能帮助到别人,提升自己各方面能力。另外,他还提议可以印制一本义工手册,记录照片、内容、感想和官方证明等等。他认为这样的制度完善对同学们的帮助会更大,使义工服务不再单调。
Evan Chen put forward some suggestions on perfecting the school's community service system. Our school is characterized by community service, which is an important way to raise students’ awareness of social responsibility and cultivate their volunteer spirit. He found that the types of community services on campus are limited and far from meeting the needs of our students. He suggested that students should be encouraged to do more volunteer services outside the school, and that they should be allowed to choose the types of their service, which will contribute to their college application in the future as well. When students are doing the volunteer services they are interested, they can also help others and improve their abilities in many ways. In addition, he suggested that a manual of community services be printed to collect students’ photos, content of services, thought on services and official proofs for services. He believed that perfection of the system will benefit the students more and make volunteer service more interesting.
学生会体育部的同学们,就网课期间体育打卡任务做了几点提醒。自从线上居家上课以来,即使不能在室外上体育课,学校也同样提供了多样化的体育运动方式。每周140分钟的运动时长,可以自由选择运动的项目和时间,并且还有打榜活动让勇于挑战自己的同学为班级增加运动时长。如今已经过去了几个月,同学们一直都在积极打卡,或是参与体育打榜。希望同学们接下来的几周也能再接再厉,养成良好的运动习惯。
The PE department of the ASB reminded students to keep a record of their daily workout during online teaching. Since the home-based online teaching began, our school has provided various ways to encourage the students to work out, although the pandemic has made outdoor PE class impossible. Students may choose the sports they like and the time to work out for 140 minutes per week, and they can also challenge their classmates to add to the total workout time of their HR class. Students have been actively participating in the past few months. We hope they will keep up their efforts so that they can develop good exercises habit.
当代学生朝气蓬勃、充满活力、创新能力也较强。让学生参与到社区建设中,这无疑是给学生一个充分展示自己的平台,身教胜于言教,通过这些有意义的活动,有利于加强学生思想建设和能力建设,推动他们在校园文化建设中的引领作用。学校也非常重视同学们的反馈和提案,均会一一给出采纳反馈,也是为了进一步鼓励同学们参与学校共创中来。
Teenagers nowadays are energetic, vigorous and creative. SHBS encourages students to take active roles in developing our community and provide them with opportunities to improve themselves because actions speak louder than words. Theses meaningful activities help both enrich their mind and improve their abilities, making them play a leading role in promoting our school culture. Our school also values students’ proposals and feedback and will respond to each of them so as to encourage students furthermore.
