In September 2024, the Yangtze River Delta VEX Robotics Elite Competition was held in Yangpu District, Shanghai, inviting hundreds of outstanding teams from the Yangtze River Delta region to participate.
Drawing on the experience from the China Blue competition, the SHBS team 23333A won the Innovative Thinking Award at the competition with their overall performance in machine structural design, programming, engineering documentation, and excellent defense. This award is an affirmation of the team's hard work over the past few months and marks a new breakthrough for SHBS in its science and innovation curriculum. The Innovative Thinking Award also successfully qualifies team 23333A for the national competition, providing them with a broader stage to showcase their talents.
Event Introduction
The VEX Robotics Competition, initiated by the Robotics Education and Competition Foundation (RECF) in the United States, is a global robotics competition that integrates multidisciplinary knowledge such as science, engineering, and mathematics. It is highly challenging and interesting. In the competition, each team is required to design, build, and program robots to complete a series of specific tasks and challenges. Due to the innovation and scientific nature of the competition, awards obtained in VEX competitions are recognized by many well-known universities around the world, such as Harvard and MIT, and have become a strong support for students' academic advancement.

To debug the automation, I spend most of the day tweaking parameters, positioning the car, and observing the results. It was very tiring. The night before the elimination round, I stayed up late to write a new automation script that suits our new strategy, but seeing the results makes it all worth it.

Rule analysis, design, building the car, starting over when it's wrong... testing, modifying the car, automation, what? We also have to write engineering notes?! Testing automation, modifying automation, competition, outreach, entering the elimination round, engineering note defense, we made it to the national competition, yay!

I hope our team 23333A can make it to the World Championship!
SHBS, in collaboration with Mars Cell Lab, has jointly established the SRCC Super Robot Club. The club aims to provide members with a diverse range of competition and teaching environments to cultivate their professional skills and literacy in areas such as robot design, engineering, STEM, and IT programming. Looking back at recent achievements, in July of this year, club members participated in the summer training camp organized by Mars Cell Lab and won the first prize at the Shanghai station of the World Robot Competition. In August, at the China Blue National Invitational, the team continuously adjusted the robot's performance and deeply discussed strategies, ultimately winning the second prize. The SHBS team has paid hard sweat and unremitting efforts. Looking forward, we expect the 23333A school team to shine in the upcoming VEX regional and national competitions, showcasing their outstanding talents!
