Both social and natural sciences are essential cornerstones of modern civilized society. They represent not only a systematic body of knowledge but also a method of understanding and exploring the world, which has a profound impact on students' cognitive development. Therefore, the 2024 SHBS Orientation Camp has specially set up interesting science classes to encourage students to actively participate. In the physics class, the teacher stimulated the students' interest in physics through step-by-step explanations and hands-on experiments. Students used magic erasers to build bridges and test their load-bearing capacity, personally feeling the impact of gravity on matter. This class not only improved their practical ability and observational skills but also helped them better understand various phenomena in the physical world.

In the economics class, the teacher used rich examples to gradually introduce students to some basic concepts in economics and also corrected some common misunderstandings about economics. Through easy-to-understand explanations, students gradually understood various types of costs and their application in real life, deeply feeling the importance of economics.

The math class started with a discussion of snowflakes, and the teacher led the students to draw a geometric figure - the Koch snowflake. In this process, everyone explored the rules of change in perimeter and area when the Koch snowflake changes shape. This class not only allowed students to appreciate the unique charm of geometry but also stimulated their further interest in mathematics.

In the biology class, students learned about cell division and simulated the process of cell proliferation with gummy bears. In this fun experiment, students better understood the principle of cell division, adding fun to the classroom and deepening their understanding of the mechanism of biological cell proliferation.

In the computer science class, the teacher guided the students step by step to draw flowcharts of program execution paths, helping them build a clear framework of programming thinking. Students gradually mastered the basic logic of programming in the classroom and drew a simple flowchart by hand, thereby initially understanding the working principles of programming.
