On the afternoon of February 19th, the annual fun trivia competition was held in the auditorium of SHBS. Students and teachers formed teams freely to participate in the competition, engaging in a battle of wits.
Trivia consisted of six rounds, each with a different theme. It included sports knowledge and Asian-American history tests designed by Amay, current affairs and geography tests designed by Joshua, as well as psychological knowledge and general knowledge tests designed by Chloe. The champion team of each round and the top three teams in the overall point rankings after six rounds had the opportunity to win creative gifts prepared by Teacher Chloe. In addition, Chloe distributed friendship prizes, candies, to the audience multiple times during the competition, which everybody thoroughly enjoyed.
To enhance the professionalism and fun of the question bank, the teachers selected the fields they taught and were interested in to create the questions. Before the competition, they also surveyed the types of prizes the students expected to receive. Furthermore, the real-time rankings of the top twelve teams were displayed on the screen during the competition, creating a highly competitive and enthusiastic atmosphere.
In the end, the first-place winners of each round received a snack gift package, and the top three teams, TtC, e, and k, in the overall point rankings received school store's vouchers worth ¥100, ¥80, and ¥60 respectively.
Editor's Impression
When I participated in this activity, I felt extremely nervous. Throughout the competition, my teammates and I were fully focused, striving to answer various knowledge questions. Each round of competition was so intense that we not only had to deal with various questions but also constantly pay attention to the changes in rankings. As time went on, the pressure increased, further brought out potential for teamwork. In the tense atmosphere, we encouraged and supported each other, striving to achieve the best results. Whether we were happy or disappointed when our team's ranking was displayed on the screen, we could feel that intense emotion. In the end, even though we didn't win the championship, this intense experience made us all understand the importance of teamwork. We've gained valuable competition experience and fully experienced the joy of teamwork.
