On an ordinary day, a heartwarming event unfolded beneath the winter sun, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of a band. With the aim of assisting children from impoverished families suffering from blood cancer, the event sought to contribute small acts of kindness from everyday life to create a brighter future for them. On November 18th, the seventh edition of the FamFun® Charity Cycling event, initiated by Shanglu Culture, took place at Hongrun Boyuan School.
After the dazzling performance by the Zhoushan Drum Team from YK Pao School, Ms Liu, the executive principal of SHBS, delivered a speech during the opening ceremony. Ms Liu expressed strong support for the charity cycling event and conveyed the school's emphasis on this initiative. "Hongrun Boyuan School is a community that nurtures students to have the ability to experience happiness for themselves and also to bring happiness to others. Any charitable activity is not only beneficial for the students but also for each one of us—it allows us to purify our hearts and cherish the present moment," Ms Liu said in an interview.

On that day, in addition to the cycling event, there were also charity sales and performances. Students from Hongrun Boyuan's student union and volunteers from various classes actively participated in preparing items for the charity sale and performances. They presented wonderful performances to the caring individuals who came to the school to participate in the event.
According to statistics, the total cycling distance covered by participants in the event was 1,300 kilometers. The bustling charity sale generated an income of 1,184 yuan, with donations totaling 876.2 yuan. Additionally, both on-site and off-site fundraising efforts accumulated a generous sum of 7,313.2 yuan. As of the publication deadline, this edition of the event has collectively raised a total of 17,029 yuan in charitable funds. These funds have been donated through specialized channels to the First Affiliated Hospital of Ningbo University, contributing to the support of underprivileged children from families affected by blood cancer.

In the process of growing up, we reflect, and in charity, we express gratitude. Credits should be given to the organizers, Hongrun Boyuan School, sponsors, volunteers, and all participants for their efforts and support. The success of each event relies on the collaboration of everyone involved, both on and off the stage. Melodies linger in the air, shining under the sunlight. With every pedal stroke, as bicycles pass through moments on the asphalt road, it seems that people have silently reached a consensus. Charity activities prompt us to reexamine life, cherish the present, be grateful for everything we have, and, in our own unique ways, spread love to those in need. Despite the winter chill in November, warmth silently gathers.
"Each person lights up a glimmer of dawn, a hopeful smile, converging into the vast sea of stars."
